My 2014 Best Performers, Looking Ahead To 2015

[Reuters] – China showed its Chengdu J-20 stealth fighter in public for the first time on Tuesday, opening the country’s biggest meeting of aircraft makers and buyers with a show of its military clout. Airshow China, in the southern city of Zhuhai, offers Beijing an opportunity to demonstrate its ambitions in civil aerospace and to underline its defence ambitions. China is set to overtake the U.S. as the world’s top aviation market in the next decade.

Women executives left Yahoo amid layoffs, deal talk

[Reuters] – Women executives left Yahoo Inc at an unusually high rate after the U.S. technology company announced plans to sell itself earlier this year, but it was not immediately clear why, according to the company’s 2016 diversity report, released on Monday. The sharp drop comes as Silicon Valley faces pressure to diversify a workforce heavily dominated by white and Asian men. In July, it struck a $4.8 billion deal to sell its core internet businesses to Verizon Communications Inc.

Year-To-Date Winners: We Have Found The Market And It's Apple

APPLE – THE BEST OPPORTUNITY EVER?

I SEE APPLE GOING BACK ABOVE $300, SOONER RATHER THAN LATER

[Reuters] – Korean bankers are fretting that Apple may shun the country’s bond market after a local newspaper revealed that the secretive US phone maker had recently attempted to invest some of its vast cash pile in a local bank deal. The Maeil Business Newspaper reported on October 12 that Apple had placed an order to buy US dollar bonds of KEB Hana , one of South Korea’s largest banks in asset terms, but that the issuer had chosen not to accept the bid. The article infuriated Korean bankers, who said Apple was “extremely sensitive” about revealing how it managed its cash.
